Adulting 101 For Teens – Presentation Skills (ages 13-18)

Do you struggle with a fear of public speaking whether you’re presenting to a large audience or interacting with just one individual? 

Join us to discuss the importance of enhancing your communication skills to connect with others, improve self-esteem, and demonstrate your knowledge and experience.  We’ll share practical tips to help you overcome speaking anxiety and gain confidence to persuade your audience.

Presenter bio:

Lisa Pierce-Jones is an Assistant Director, Human Resources with the City of Round Rock, who works to attract, engage, and retain the best talent to provide quality service to the citizens of Round Rock.  To build a culture of exceptional service for our customers, external and internal, Lisa works with the Human Resources team to promote customer conscious attitudes within the organization by defining clear and understandable standards for employees.  Her best work is accomplished when employees collaborate as a team.  Lisa has worked with public and private entities in Human Resources and organizational Development for 20 years.

Lisa enjoys playing tennis, reading, and traveling with family and friends.

Adulting 101 programs are designed to help teens develop life skills and knowledge to transition to adulthood.
