Adulting 101 For Teens – what you can do now to prepare for your college application (ages 13-18)

January 2, 2024 @ 6:30 pm 7:30 pm

Ex Teen Advisory Board member Sarah Lin will present a casual and informative session, introducing topics to help everyone thinking of applying to college. Talk to someone who has been through the process and wants to share tips and ideas.  Allen Vadakkan, who goes to Texas A & M, will add to the presentation. This is for anyone in High School.

Some of the topics covered will be:

  • What can you be doing now to prepare?
  • What subject choices are good to make?
  • How do you start looking at and choosing schools?
  • What activities outside of school will help with your application process?

Speaker bio: Sarah is currently a junior at The University of Texas at Dallas pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. She is part of the Davidson Management Honors Program at the Naveen Jindal School of Management. She is expecting to graduate with a Bachelor’s in May of 2025; but also planning to fast track her Master’s along with her undergraduate program and graduating with an MBA in Supply Chain Management in 2026.
