Fill the Cop Car

The Round Rock Police Department will once again team up with the U.S. Army to sponsor our annual food drive benefiting the Round Rock Area Serving Center.

Donations of nonperishable food items will be collected from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 14, at the following stores throughout the City:

• H-E-B, 250 University Blvd.
• H-E-B, 1700 East Palm Valley Blvd.
• H-E-B, 603 Louis Henna Blvd.
• H-E-B, 3750 Gattis School Rd.

The Round Rock Serving Center serves low-income people and families in crisis situations through a food distribution program.

At 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, participants will hike two miles from Sky Ridge Plaza (2000 S IH 35) to the Round Rock Area Serving Center carrying bags filled with food donated from this event. The public is encouraged to join the hike alongside the men and women of the Police Department and U.S. Army.
