More about VEDO the Singer:
American R&B singer/songwriter VEDO has a smooth, romantic style reminiscent of Usher, who acted as his coach on the fourth season of NBC’s The Voice. During the second half of the 2010s, he released three albums and notched a handful of highly streamed singles, but it was 2020’s moody “You Got It” from his fourth album, For You, that became VEDO’s breakthrough hit. Working quickly, he followed it in 2021 with his fifth full-length, 1320.

Vedo grew up in Benton Harbor, Michigan and discovered his talent for singing at age 9. He is now based out in Atlanta and began his career performing at open mic nights. Vedo joined The Voice Season 4 in 2013. His musical style is similar to the smooth R&B sound of his The Voice coach, Usher.

 The History of Juneteenth
Juneteenth is now a National Holiday and is the oldest known celebration commemorating the emancipation of slavery in the state of Texas. Historically, the celebration falls on June 19th and commemorates the day in 1865 that Texans were told by Union troops that the Civil War had ended and that all slaves were now freed. Though the Emancipation Proclamation became official on January 1, 1863, there was little impact on the lives of Texans until 1865.

Today, Juneteenth celebrates African American freedom while encouraging self-development and respect for all cultures.
