No one injured in Saturday fire at Dell campus

At 5:28 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 12, Round Rock Fire Department units responded to a report of a potential structure fire at 2300 Greenlawn Blvd. Building 3 on the Dell campus.

Firefighters arrived at 5:33 p.m. to find nothing showing; however, upon entry, heavy smoke was reported on the second floor. A second alarm was then called and an addition of 2 more engine companies and one truck company responded. Crews reported the fire was located on the roof deck near the front of the structure above the front stairwell. Additional crews were sent to that area to extinguish the fire.

There were no injuries.The cause of the fire was determined to be due to work being performed on the roof by construction crews.

It is undetermined the cost of the damage that occurred.

Crews reported the fire was extinguished at 6:35 p.m. The last fire department units cleared the scene at 8:52 p.m.

Representatives from Dell arrived on scene and assisted with ventilation of the structure through the HVAC system.
