The Round Rock City Council approved an $831,222 professional engineering services agreement with Halff Associates Inc. on Aug. 14 for the Deepwood Drive extension project.
The project will extend the existing roadway north across Brushy Creek, following previously dedicated right-of-way, and connect with Sam Bass Road. The design will feature a four-lane divided roadway, and the City is coordinating with Williamson County on a potential connection to the Brushy Creek Trail System.
The City will offer public involvement opportunities during the project. More information will be shared as plans progress.
Design, utility work, and right-of-way acquisition are expected to take approximately 20 months, with construction anticipated to begin in late 2027.
