Austin Community College’s Continuing Education department and the Round Rock Public Library present Basic Computer Skills I. This is a basic computer class designed for participants with little to no experience with computers. The course is divided into five sessions. Each session will meet from 10AM-12PM on the following Saturdays: October 28, November 4, November 18, December 2, and December 9.

This course will help participants build and develop fundamental computer skills through the context of computer systems and their uses in today’s business communities. The class will begin through orienting students with the components that make up computers. Participants will also create an email account, be introduced to Google Suite, and learn how to effectively use email as a communication tool. Additionally, participants will learn about searching the web and internet safety. Finally, participants will learn about word processing in both Google Docs and Microsoft Word.
