Rockin’ Kids Club: Art club with special guest Cordovan Art School (ages 5+)

Elementary students are welcome to join us at the Round Rock Public Library‘s Rockin’ Kids Club art week on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 4:30 pm.  Instructors from Cordovan Art School will guide students in making animal art.  

Please Note:

This program is limited to 20 participating children.  Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. 


On Monday afternoons the Library offers a rotating set of activities:

  • 1st Monday: LEGO® free-build
  • 2nd Monday: Art Club
  • 3rd Monday: Science Club
  • 4th Monday: Game On!

Rockin’ Kids Club: Art club with special musical guest Mr. Mo (ages 5+)

Elementary students are welcome to join us at the Round Rock Public Library‘s Rockin’ Kids Club art week on Monday, September 16, 2019 at 4:30 pm.  

Local musician Mo Pair will entertain us with his Mr. Mo Childrens’ Program. Mo maintains a swift pace, covering folk songs, chidrens’ songs,… and a little rock-n-roll that caters to kids. Mo explores educational tidbits that only folk songs can provide, and promises to leave kids singing a quirky and fun rock-n-roll number, from the Beatles era!

On Monday afternoons the Library offers a rotating set of activities that highlight science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Join the fun at 4:30 pm.

Teen Manga Drawing Workshop (ages 12-18) (preregistration)

The Round Rock Public Library and Cordovan Art School will host a manga drawing workshop on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 for ages 12-18. Teens will learn basic manga drawing tricks and techniques. Join this workshop in meeting room B from 6-8 pm..

The Round Rock Public Library and Cordovan Art School will host a fantasy / manga drawing workshop on Thursday, June 20, 2019 for kids ages 8-12. Tweens will learn basic cartoon and manga drawing tricks and techniques. Join the fun in meeting room B from 3 – 4  pm.

Art Glass Cutting Demonstration

Join us for an Art Glass Cutting Techniques demonstration from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, June 15, Round Rock Public Library, Gallery. Susan Dittmar, owner of Inspiration Glass Studio, will demonstrate how to drill holes into art glass using a Dremel with a diamond bit.

All are welcome at these fun, free demonstrations!

Check out the Library’s Display Case throughout June to view Cindy Dow Savary’s exhibit “A Passion for Glass.” Since her retirement from the the City of Round Rock’s Finance Department in August 2017, Cindy began taking classes at Inspiration Glass Studio. The stained glass panels on display represent a year’s work. Each panel takes from three to five weeks to complete.

It’s art week at Round Rock Public Library‘s Rockin’ Kids Club!  Join Lee Young for a presentation on Korean culture followed by a short demo of traditional dance. Lee will also bring traditional Korean outfits to try on.

All supplies are provided, however, supplies are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be aware that food will be served at this program. Persons with food allergies are responsible for monitoring refreshments served at the Library. Responsibility for monitoring minors rests with the parent/guardian/custodial caregiver.
