Free summer meals for kids and teens

Kids and teens facing food scarcity during the summer months are welcome to enjoy a free, nutritious meal at the Library Friday afternoons.

Come to the Round Rock Public Library‘s Meeting Room A, 12 – 1 pm, any Friday from June 14, 2019 – August 2, 2019.

The Library will try to meet anticipated demand for lunches. Lunches will be distributed first come, first served, to children ages 0 – 18 until all meals are gone. There is no enrollment, no proof of need required, and no cost for this program.

Cooks + Books: Spring break cooking class featuring Harry Potter (ages 8-12) (preregistration) (CLASS FULL)

Sticky Fingers Cooking is excited to join Round Rock Public Library on Thursday, March 19 at 3:30 pm in Meeting Room B. Preregister for a Cooks + Books Spring Break Camp featuring Harry Potter! Let your favorite books come to life in our delicious and delectable recipes! Love to read as much as you love to cook? In this fun camp, we’ll read excerpts from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and cook up a delicious recipe inspired by the story. Young chefs will bring their imagination to life in this hands-on literary and culinary experience!

Responsibility for monitoring minors rests with the parent/guardian/custodial caregiver. This program is for children ages 8-12 only.  Limited seating for caregivers and younger siblings who wish to observe will be available in the back of the room. Only attending participants must preregister. Online registration is required and starts Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 9 am. Those who arrive more than five minutes late may forfeit their space(s). Tween Maker Club: Sticky Fingers Cooking Class (ages 8-12) (preregistration)

Let your child release their inner chef! Sticky Fingers Cooking is excited to join Round Rock Public Library at the Tween Maker Club on October 18, 2018 at 4:30 pm.

Preregister to prepare and eat a delicious classic Sticky Fingers Cooking recipe all while learning to cook in a fun, engaging, hands-on and real-world way. Join a professional Chef Instructor to learn kitchen skills, food culture, geography and science while emphasizing each area of cooking as students prepare (and eat!) an incredible culinary creation.
