Free summer meals for kids and teens

Kids and teens facing food scarcity during the summer months are welcome to enjoy a free, nutritious meal at the Library Friday afternoons.

Come to the Round Rock Public Library‘s Meeting Room A, 12 – 1 pm, any Friday from June 14, 2019 – August 2, 2019.

The Library will try to meet anticipated demand for lunches. Lunches will be distributed first come, first served, to children ages 0 – 18 until all meals are gone. There is no enrollment, no proof of need required, and no cost for this program.

Summer lunches at the Library are provided by a partnership with the Central Texas Food Bank to fill a nutrition gap families may face when schools are closed. Don’t let our neighborhood kids go hungry; if you are aware of families experiencing a nutrition gap this summer, please share this information with them.

Tween Book Club (ages 9-12): You choose the books!

The Round Rock Public Library is hosting a Tween Book Club at 4:30 pm on Thursday, August 1, 2019. Join us to help choose books for the fall 2019 tween book clubs.

Tweens, ages 9-12, may nominate two book selections they would like the club to read. Participants will vote on nominated selections.

Snacks will be served.

For more information contact Amy German at 512-218-7034.

Please Note: While book club selections are chosen specifically for tweens ages 9-12, parents may still wish to review the content for appropriateness for their child.
