Tween Gaming: Super Smash Brothers Challenge (ages 8-12)

Tweens (age 8-12) are invited to the Library’s Tween Gaming and Super Smash Brothers Challenge at Round Rock Public Library on Thursday, July 25, 2019. Join us in Meeting Room B for video games, board games, snacks, and fun!

Do you have what it takes to be the Super Smash Brothers champion? Join us at 2 pm to show off your Wii U skills as you compete against friends and strangers in head-to-head rounds.  

 

Tabletop Games with Mathnasium

Round Rock Public Library welcomes Mathnasium for an afternoon of games in Room B.

Join us any time between 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. for come-and-go fun with tabletop games like chess, checkers, and other strategy-oriented games.

While you’re having fun, you’ll also be honing your logic skills–and those skills are the foundation of success with math!

Tween Yoga Class (ages 8-12) (preregistration)

The Round Rock Public Library and Soul Strong Yoga welcome tweens, ages 8-12, to a free yoga class on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 3:00 pm. Join us for a fun, beginners friendly, class and learn poses, breathing exercises, focusing techniques, & more!

Participants, please bring a yoga mat if you have one available. A limited supply of loaner yoga mats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Terrence Taps tap dancing show (all ages)

Prepare to be amazed–and to spend the rest of the day dancing–as Round Rock Public Library welcomes Terrence Taps – The Tap Dance Man for two special performances.

Join us on Monday, July 15, 2019 for one of two performances:

  • 4 p.m.
  • 6:30 p.m.

All ages are welcome, although the show may best enjoyed by kids old enough to want to try a few moves of their own.

The Magik Theater Presents: Ugly Duckling


Bring the family to the Round Rock Public Library for a special theater event at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019. 

The Magik Theatre presents a fun and lively performance of the Ugly Ducking for children of all ages. Join the fun in Meeting Room C!

Space is limited and is available on a first come, first served basis. 

This activity replaces our regular Family Storytime

Chew and Chat with author Mari Mancusi (ages 8-18)

The Round Rock Library Public Library will host a Tween / Teen Book Club and Author Visit on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 4:30 pm. Texas author Mari Mancusi  will join us in Meeting Room A to share her books and creative writing process. Pizza and refreshments will be available for first arrivals.

While book club selections are chosen specifically for tweens and teens, parents may still wish to review the content for appropriateness for his/her child.
