Humane Heroes at the Library (ages 8-12) (preregistration)

The Round Rock Library Public Library welcomes the Austin Humane Society on Thursday, January 23, 2019 at 4:30 pm.  Learn about the Austin Humane Society’s volunteer program for youth.  Join us in Meeting Room A to meet a shelter cat and create fun toys for Humane Society shelter animals.

Please Note:

Please be aware that there will be a shelter cat at this program. Responsibility for monitoring minors rests with the parent/guardian/custodial caregiver. This program is for children ages 8-12 only. Limited seating for caregivers and younger siblings who wish to observe will be available in the back of the room. Only attending participants must preregister. Online registration is required and starts Thursday, January 9, 2019 at 9 am. Those who arrive more than five minutes late may forfeit their space(s). If you cannot attend, please cancel your reservation via Eventbrite or call 512-218-3275.

Summer Adopt-a-Shelf Orientation (ages 8-12) (preregistration)

Build a better community this summer! The Round Rock Public Library invites summer readers, ages 8-12, to volunteer at the library. Interested participants may join us for Summer Reading Adopt-a-Shelf program orientation.

Participating volunteers will maintain an assigned area of the library throughout the summer during their regular library visits.  Children have an opportunity to earn book bucks for our end-of-summer Book Bucks Store. Those who complete the program will be invited to our special end-of-summer volunteer-only party!

There will be a mandatory orientation.  Please register for one session:

Space is limited to the first 80 participants.  Space is available on a first come / first serve basis and online preregistration is required.  Registration starts Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 9 am. Participants are not able to earn community service hours for this program.
