Each year the City dedicates funds to maintain local roadways.  Maintenance consists of milling a few inches of existing asphalt and replacing it with a new asphalt surface.  Additional items of work include roadway patches for failed pavement areas and replacement of failed curb, sidewalk and driveway approaches.  Projects are selected based on the structural condition of the pavement or PCI (pavement condition index). The 2026 Residential Street Maintenance Program will focus on segments across the city with PCI values below model tolerances.

The project will focus on repairing sections of the Chisholm Valley, Windy Park, Stone Oak, and Indian Ridge subdivisions.
