Smyers Ln and CR 122 Rehabilitation
The City of Round Rock is moving forward with the design of roadway improvements on Smyers Lane (from RM 620 to Wyoming Springs Dr.) and CR 122 (from Red Bud Ln. to south of the low water crossing). This project will include full-depth pavement reconstruction or other pavement treatments based on soil conditions.
Design work includes geotechnical testing, traffic control planning, striping layouts, and culvert safety improvements. Construction is expected to maintain the existing two-lane rural roadway configuration.
These improvements aim to extend pavement life, enhance safety, and improve overall drivability along both corridors.
Project Update: June 2026
Bids were opened in May and is now in the process of being awarded. Construction is expected to commence July 2026.
