Play for All Abilities Park reopens after maintenance work

The City of Round Rock’s Play for All Abilities Park reopened Tuesday, Feb. 11, after a two-week maintenance improvement project.

Parks maintenance and Public Works Department staff worked around the clock to bring improvements to reality for residents. Improvements included the reconstruction of a wider entry driveway off of A.W. Grimes Blvd.

In addition, poured-in-place rubber surfacing was improved, mulch and fibar in all areas of the park were replaced, new signage and major cleaning was performed and all park features were repainted including the Village Area buildings.

In addition, a new seat wall was constructed on the north end of the sand box and a new water rinse station was added. Finally, all trees were pruned, sidewalks were repaired and additional lights were added to enhance night time use.

We hope the families of Central Texas will enjoy all these major improvements to our nationally award winning park. For more information about the park, go to RoundRockTexas.gov/PlayforAll.
