This expansion project of Gattis School Road will provide the 6-lane divided upgrade to the existing 4-lane facility as called for in the City’s Transportation Master Plan. This project specifically consists of two segments of Gattis School Rd that are known as Segment 4 & Segment 5. The limits of each segment are defined as Seg. 4 being approximately 0.59 miles East of Double Creek Drive to Kenney Fort Blvd and Seg. 5 from 0.27 miles East of Kenney Fort Blvd to Via Sonoma Trail. Proposed improvements for Segments 4 and 5 include: widening the existing four-lane roadway to a six-lane major divided arterial with raised medians, pedestrian improvements, and traffic signals at Round Rock Ranch Blvd (west) and Round Rock Ranch Blvd (east) / Meister Lane.

60% Plans have been reviewed and returned to the engineer. Pursuit of necessary right of way is ongoing. The bid schedule is set by right of way, utility relocation and the completion of Gattis School Road Segment 6 to avoid an over-burden of traffic on Gattis School Road.
