Good Water Master Naturalists: Music of the Night

September 22, 2023 @ 2:00 pm 3:00 pm

The Round Rock Public Library and the Good Water Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist Program present Music of the Night from 2 to 3 p.m., Friday, September 22, Round Rock Public Library, Meeting Rooms A & B.

Join Mary Ann Melton of the Good Water Master Naturalists for an interpretive presentation about the natural sounds of the night. Birds, mammals, insects, amphibians . . . The night will come alive as you learn to recognize the sounds in the shadows.

About the presenter

Mary Ann Melton has been an avid nature photographer since 2003. She is published in Texas Highways, Nature’s Best, and Nature Photographer Magazine. She has also written a biweekly nature column in the Taylor Press. She has been a Master Naturalist since 2009. She is interested in everything. She says she is a “Jack of all trades, but a master of none.” And she says “she knows a little about a lot of things.” Her philosophy is you learn a little bit every day and the knowledge mounts.

This activity is part of The Moon and Beyond, a series of events in September and October in support of RRPL’s One Community Four Books program. Some attendees will win a free pair of solar eclipse viewing glasses to use for the eclipses visible in Round Rock on Oct. 14, 2023 and April 8, 2024.
