How to Write a Novel: Part 2—The Importance of Genre Selection

October 15, 2023 @ 2:00 pm 4:00 pm

Have you always wanted to write a book? Now’s the time! Join the Round Rock Public Library and the San Gabriel Writers’ League for How to Write a Novel, a 4-part series that will cover the five major things every author needs to know before they write, including what is Point of View (POV) and how to handle it, writing in 1st or 3rd person, showing vs. telling, and more.

Join us in Meeting Rooms A & B from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15 for the second part of the series, where we will cover:

-The Importance of Genre Selection—What are your choices? And which one is best for your book? You have to know.

-Little Things Mean a Lot—Attributions, Passive vs. Active, Head Hopping and more

-Love Me Tender…Eventually—Almost every book contains a romantic thread. Learn how to effectively include that thread in any genre.

This workshop is free.
