Info Session (virtual): Become a Volunteer Victim Advocate

The Round Rock Victim Services Unit is comprised of four staff members as well as a team of volunteers. Together, they provide 24/7 support to Round Rock Police Officers and survivors of crime. Among the services provided are crisis intervention, advocacy, and resource referral.

Volunteer advocates are required to commit to 24 hours per month of on-call coverage.

Potential volunteers will go through an interview, background investigation, attend a RRPD Volunteer Orientation, and complete the Regional Victim Services Training Academy.

For more information, there will be two information sessions for potential volunteer advocates.

  • Thursday, Aug. 11, 6:30pm – in person at RRPD
  • Tuesday, Aug. 16, 1:30pm – virtually via Zoom
