Virtual Author Talk: Edward Dolnick & Dinosaurs at the Dinner Party
June 9 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Join the Round Rock Public Library’s Adult Book Group on Tuesday, June 9 from 6:00–7:30 PM for a special live virtual conversation with author Edward Dolnick, acclaimed writer of Dinosaurs at the Dinner Party: How an Eccentric Group of Victorians Discovered Prehistoric Creatures and Accidentally Upended the World. Participants are invited to gather at the library to watch the event together and take part in a live audience Q&A with the author.
The evening will begin at 6:00 PM with a discussion, and Dolnick will join virtually at 6:30 PM.
Dolnick will discuss the fascinating history behind the discovery of dinosaurs and the Victorian-era scientists who first pieced together the concept of these prehistoric creatures from scattered fossil finds. He will also discuss the colorful personalities behind early paleontology, how dinosaur discoveries changed the way people understood the world, and his research and writing process.
This special program is part of the Round Rock Public Library’s Adult Summer Reading Program and is perfect for book lovers, history enthusiasts, dinosaur fans, and curious minds alike.
This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Round Rock Public Library.
The Daytime Adult Book Group (reading the same book) will meet from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month.
