Dell Diamond to host private fan batting practice experiences

Have you ever dreamed of stepping into the batter’s box at Dell Diamond and taking some cuts just like your favorite Round Rock Express players? Thanks to partnerships, the Round Rock Express are excited to unveil the exclusive opportunity for fans to rent Dell Diamond for private batting practice sessions beginning Thursday, June 4.

For $300 plus tax, each rental includes one hour of time at Dell Diamond with approximately 30 minutes of on-field batting practice via a pitching machine plus 30 minutes of reserved space inside the ballpark. Each time slot is limited to a maximum of six guests per group. Reservations are required and available now by clicking here.

Guests will have the opportunity to select the genre of music to be played on the stadium sound system during their time on the field, as well as access to the Express photo booth to commemorate their visit. Advance reservations are required and are currently available from 4:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and from 12:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sundays through June 20.

Private rentals outside the time frames listed above are also available by emailing events@rrexpress.com. As of now, the program is scheduled to run for a limited time through June 20 but could be extended or reduced upon further clarification of the 2020 Minor League Baseball season.

Fans can complete their experience with additional add-ons, including group food and beverage packages, discounted merchandise options, the inclusion of a live public address announcer, a custom video highlight reel and the opportunity to upgrade their reserved space to a suite or the pool at Dell Diamond.

“During this unprecedented time when there is no baseball being played, we are eager to share Dell Diamond and some of the amazing experiences that take place here with our fans,” Express General Manager Tim Jackson said. “Getting to take batting practice on the immaculate field alone is special, but with some of the other options that we have available, including pool and suite rentals, we are thrilled to help make some lifelong memories at the ballpark.”

The safety of guests and staff remains the top priority for all events taking place at Dell Diamond. Guests are required to bring their own bat and are strongly encouraged to bring their own helmets and batting gloves. All batters will be required to wear a helmet. Helmets of various sizes will be available and provided to guests who do not bring their own. Each batting helmet will be thoroughly sanitized by a trained member of the Express staff after each use.

Express staff interacting with guests will be required to maintain six feet of social distancing and wear appropriate face coverings and gloves at all times. Staff will also have their temperature taken upon arrival at Dell Diamond each day.

Fans interested in making a reservation can do so by clicking here. After filling out the online form, a member of the Express staff will be in touch to discuss booking, waivers, safety measures and possible add-ons.
