With the help of volunteer barbers and hair stylists, Dream Big and the Police Department will help kids get a fresh start for the upcoming school year with Kutz4Kidz from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, at police headquarters, 2701 N. Mays St.
Free haircuts and school supplies will be given during the event to school-aged kids. An Open House will also take place.
Participants can tour the police station and get a behind the scenes look at holding cells, Crime Scene Unit, K-9 Unit, fingerprinting and more. Families can enjoy fun and educational exhibits, demonstrations, car show, face painting, balloon artists and snow cones. Visitors can also check out SWAT vehicles, police vehicles and a fire truck.
Free barbecue will be provided by the Round Rock Police Officers Association.
