Celebrate local authors at the Round Rock Public Library’s Local Author Meet and Greet, Saturday, June 20th, on the first and second floors from 11am-1pm. Come and meet local authors Kerry Dashnaw, Terri Johnson, Kirti Kode, Mark Moore, Nikei Salas, and Jenna Summers. They will have copies of their books for sale with 10% of the sales going to help support The Friends of the Round Rock Library.
Author Spotlight

Kerry Dashnaw
Kerry Dashnaw is a retired public school teacher. She loves sharing ideas and teaching art to children and grown-ups. She is happy to share that this is her third book.

Terri R. Johnson
Terri R. Johnson is the author of I love Washing My Hair, a story about a little girl told through a poem about self-love and acceptance. Terri is also the author of four books of poetry and Dear Mom, a chapbook dedicated in memory of her loving mother. She is retired and has lived in Round Rock since 2011 and worked in higher education for over twenty-five years. Terri enjoys volunteering, gardening, decorating, crafting, writing and traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Kirti Kode
Kirti Kode is an Indian American mom who is an engineer by degree, a Realtor by profession, and a New York Times best-selling author in her dreams. When her kids were little, she often read to them and realized the profound impact books have on children’s lives, sparking a love for them within her. Inspired by her children and her desire to see representation for them, she began writing stories and rhymes. Now, with her husband’s encouragement and her kids as her most valued critique team, she is working on making her dreams come true.

Mark A. Moore
Mark A. Moore was inspired to write the cozy novels Thirdway, Section, and Beeline after backpacking the entire length of the Appalachian Trail amid the rich diversity of hikers and trail communities. His stories focus on family dynamics, romance, addiction and recovery, tragedy, injustice, perseverance, reconciliation, and hope set against the backdrop of challenging and often humorous adventures. Mark has enjoyed a career in the development and study of medical implants and currently lives in Leander, TX, enjoying local trails, social service volunteer opportunities, community engagement, and writing activities. Nikei S. Salas
Nikei S. Salas is an author of “Black Girl Gone Guru,” “He Poisoned Me and Left Me for Dead”, and her new release “The Trees Married Them.” She is an inspiration giver and well-being educator who writes with raw honesty and poetic grace, weaving stories that explore healing, resilience, and awakening. Through nonfiction and fiction, she illuminates her words to promote transformation. Her writing serves as a mirror and a guide, encouraging readers to rise, reflect, and reclaim their power.

Jenna Summers
Jenna Summers is an author, keynote speaker, musician, international flight attendant, and former missionary who spent more than two decades serving throughout Africa and other parts of the world. Through extraordinary experiences, humanitarian outreach, personal tragedy, health battles, surviving a horrific attack, and enduring deep trauma, her life became a powerful story of resilience, faith, healing, and hope. Her memoir, Mama Jennifer, is a deeply personal journey of overcoming hardship and discovering purpose through pain.
