Crysta McHenry

Crysta McHenry is a true local – born and raised in Round Rock! She has loved writing for as long as she can remember, and Under the Sweet Gum Trees is her first novel. Currently earning a master’s degree in social work at UT Arlington, Crysta plans to work in the mental health field.

Gilbert Torres

My wife and I came with our daughters to Round Rock in 1993. I feel a strong desire to fill the need in people’s hearts for an understanding of matters of the Spirit. My book is The Indwelling of Deity in the Believer. Let’s do coffee!

Jessica Harris

Jessica Harris (formerly Vogel) has over ten years of experience in energy efficiency with a background in mechanical engineering, project management, construction administration, and extensive experience with utility energy incentive programs.

Martha Stoddard

Martha Stoddard is a former teacher and certified Texas educator. She has created reading and science products for educational publishers and had four articles in education periodicals. NELLY: The Turtle That Went to School and Found a Home is her first published book.

Sandra Smith

Sandra Smith is an educator and has been an elementary school teacher for over 30 years. She recently retired and is still inspiring children through her engaging children’s books. Her new release, Preston’s Recess Adventure Around the World, is written to inspire children to be imaginative, creative and enjoy interesting places to visit in the U.S.A. and throughout the world.

Taylor Cruse

Taylor Cruse is a self-published author who’s been writing and illustrating stories from a very young age. In fact, she wrote the first draft of her novel, Wolfen’s Rage, as a high school freshman. High fantasy adventurers, modern day superheroes, and futuristic spacefarers have always filled her imagination, to the point it’s impossible not to put them down on paper – although various pets have certainly tried their best to interrupt over the years!

Wendra Lynne

Wendra Lynne is a writer and illustrator. She is inspired by nature and its positive affect on human emotions. In her rhyming picture book, The Wondrous Cloud Forest, she’s added coffee to her watercolors not only for its evocative warm tones, but to emphasize how coffee is grown by indigenous people to help protect endangered species and their habitats. She is a member of  The Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and The Art Directors Guild for Screen & Television.
