Morgan, Ly and Ortega sworn in for new terms on Round Rock City Council

Round Rock Mayor Craig Morgan, Place 1 Council Member Michelle Ly and Place 4 Council Member Frank Ortega were sworn in for three-year terms at the May 25 Council meeting.

“I’ve always said this is a special place and that’s because of its people,” Morgan said. “I’m truly honored to sit in this chair for another three years.”

Round Rock Municipal Court Judge Alan McGraw administered the oath of office to the three council members, who ran as incumbents in the May 6 election.

Morgan was first elected to serve as Mayor of Round Rock in May 2017. Prior to being elected to his current seat, he served as Place 1 Council Member from May 2011 through May 2017, and was selected as Mayor Pro-Tem in June 2016. Ly and Ortega were both elected as Council Members in November 2020.
