Police arrest, identify jewelry store robbery suspects

On July 12, 2017, at approximately 11:50 a.m., Round Rock police officers responded to 1110 N. IH-35, Stall Jewelers for a robbery in progress call. Bryan Christopher Everage, and Elkanah Emmanuel Hendrix, entered the store and held employees at gunpoint. One suspect took an employee to the rear of the store and fired a single round into the ground.

Officers arrived on scene as both suspects fled on a motorcycle northbound on the southbound frontage road. A pursuit ensued, and during that time the passenger pointed a weapon at officers several times. Due to the immediate need to apprehend the suspects, as they were turning onto FM 620 a responding officer struck the motorcycle and both occupants fell to the ground. The driver was taken into custody at that time.

The passenger fled on foot into a nearby parking lot and a foot pursuit ensued. Shortly after, the second suspect was taken into custody. No injuries were reported during the incident. Both suspects have been charged with Evading Arrest with a Vehicle, Aggravated Assault against a Public Servant and Aggravated Robbery. The case remains under investigation. The roadways at FM 620 and Chisholm Trail were closed for approximately two hours during the preliminary investigation.
