Police make arrest in fatal auto-pedestrian crash on Mays and Main streets

On Monday, Dec. 5, Round Rock police obtained an arrest warrant for Javier Morales-Ramirez for failing to stop and render aid for a crash which occurred on Dec. 2, resulting in the death of Sean Kelley.

Based on the scene investigation, witness statements, evidence at the scene and damage to the suspect’s vehicle, it was determined Javier Morales-Ramirez was the driver of a 2009 Dodge Ram Truck which struck and killed Kelley.

While investigating the fatality, officers went to Morales-Ramirez’s home and learned of an assault between him and his girlfriend which took place prior to the crash. Officers arrested Morales-Ramirez for the assault and continued to investigate the crash. At the time the warrant was issued for failing to stop and render aid, Morales-Ramirez was still in custody in the Williamson County Jail. He remains in custody with a bond of $100,000 for failing to stop and render aid.
