Police seek assistance locating bank robbery suspect

At approximately 4:50 p.m Friday, July 21, an aggravated robbery occurred at the BBVA Compass Bank, 895 North IH-35. A Hispanic male entered the bank, displayed a firearm and demanded money from a bank employee. The suspect attempted to conceal his identity by wearing a ball cap, sunglasses and bandanna over his face. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark long sleeved shirt, dark wind-pants with a stripe and tennis shoes.

The suspect is believed to be 5 feet, 6 inches and 5’8″ in height and weighing between 150-175 pounds. He fled on foot from the bank prior to obtaining any currency and was last seen southbound under the IH-35 bridge toward Brushy Creek.
