Round Rock continues to garner recognition for its economy and quality of life.
Online geography resource WorldAtlas cited Round Rock as one of its 12 Best Places to Live in Texas in 2025. WorldAtlas took into consideration different environmental settings, affordability, crime rates and more in embracing both large cities and smaller communities on the list.
Round Rock was noted for its fast growth and as being one of the best places to live in the state for professional growth opportunities. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics, the job market in the Austin-Round Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area grew by over 49 percent in the past decade.
WorldAtlas also cited Old Settlers Park and Dell Diamond for adding to Round Rock’s quality of life.
The listing caught the attention of personal finance website MoneyDigest, which expanded upon the city’s draw.
MoneyDigest noted Round Rock also made GOBankingRates.com’s list of the 50 most affordable fast-growth cities in the United States. Round Rock’s rent and home prices both are lower than that of Austin, which also made the list. Round Rock’s annual median household income is also higher ($97,187) than Austin’s ($91,461).
Web platform ConsumerAffairs ranked Round Rock tops in the Economy category of its recent Best Places to Move to In Texas report. Also, workspace solutions directory CoworkingCafe earlier this year listed Round Rock as 14th overall among top small cities in the U.S. for economic growth.
