The Round Rock Police Department is investigating a jewelry store robbery that took place Tuesday, April 21 at Round Rock Premium Outlets.
At approximately 12:47 p.m. that afternoon, officers responded to a robbery in progress at the mall’s Marc Robinson Jewelers. Store employees reported to police that multiple suspects entered the store carrying hammers and began breaking glass display cases and stealing jewelry. All the suspects were wearing masks and gloves. Suspects pepper-sprayed a store employee and a bystander during the robbery before fleeing with a large amount of stolen jewelry.
Officers soon located the vehicle the suspects were described to have fled the area in, abandoned nearby at the 401 Teravista apartment complex. This vehicle, a blue Hyundai Sonata, was determined to have been stolen out of Humble, a Houston metro area city. The recovered vehicle was taken by police for processing, and the case remains active.
Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact Detective Dwayne Riley at (512) 218-6619.
