The Round Rock Police Department has arrested a man following the attempted abduction of a 16-year-old girl.

On March 13, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of W Mesa Park Dr after a male suspect approached a teen and attempted to force her into his vehicle. The girl was able to escape when a neighbor intervened.

Round Rock officers later located and arrested the suspect at a nearby residence.

The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Joel Maske of Round Rock, has been booked into the Williamson County Jail and faces charges of attempted aggravated kidnapping, a second-degree felony.

The investigation is ongoing, and no additional information is available at this time.
