The City of Round Rock’s waste provider is working to assist with disposal of fallen leaves and brush following the hail storm that occurred on Sunday evening.

The recent storm event resulted in a substantial amount of landscaping debris, such as leaves and small tree branches. To service the entire community effectively, garbage collection trucks will only be able to accept a certain amount of additional material curbside each week at this time.

Below are options for disposal of yard waste:

Regular trash pickup for bundled limbs and yard waste bags

As part of the City’s contract with Central Texas Refuse, residents can place up to seven additional items free of charge next to their garbage container along the curb on their trash pickup day. Brush must be bundled, and each bundle must be less than 40 pounds and no larger than 4 ft. x 4 ft. x 4 ft. This service is free for existing City of Round Rock trash customers (must receive a water bill from City of Round Rock) and does not require any additional signup. If you have more than seven bags, you can place those additional bags at the curb for collection on your regular pickup day the following week.

Brush drop-off locations

Residents can drop off brush for free during regular business hours at the Brush Recycling Center, 310 Deepwood Drive. Anyone using this service must prove residency by showing a current City of Round Rock water bill and valid drivers license.

Other bulk items

Homeowners can dispose of large items at the Williamson County Landfill, or hold on to larger damaged items for the City’s bulk item pickup event in spring 2024.
