On May 9, Round Rock Police, along with the FBI Central Texas Violent Crime Task Force, arrested a serial bank robber wanted out of Round Rock.

On April 20 and April 30, 49-year-old Jeffrey Gray Wise from Dallas entered the Branch Bank and Trust (BB&T) bank at 110 North IH-35. Wise approached an employee and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, Wise fled the bank. Witnesses reported that he left on foot heading north.

The joint investigation led to the identification and capture of the two-time robber who was arrested and is currently in federal custody.
