Williamson County to host Great Oaks Drive bridge ribbon cutting on June 27

Williamson County will officially open the new Great Oaks Drive bridge with a ribbon cutting at 3 p.m., Tuesday, June 27.

The project aims to improve the intersection of Great Oaks Drive and Brushy Creek Road. The scope included the removal of the existing bridge, a new four-lane bridge, dedicated left-turn lanes in all directions, dedicated right-turn lanes for traffic moving northbound to eastbound and eastbound to southbound, and shared through-lanes for traffic moving westbound to northbound and southbound to westbound. Additional parking under the bridge and a modified trail route to provide a safe passageway under the roadway were also included.

The project cost was approximately $11 million and it was completed in 22 months.
