The Round Rock Public Library presents Family Storytime with musical guest Canciones, raíces y alas – CRYA. Canciones, raíces y alas – CRYA is a music project formed with the intention of creating family-friendly music, in Spanish, for children and the whole family. 

Families with children of all ages are welcome, but children ages 18 months – 6 years old will enjoy it best.

HomesGhoul Halloween Party

Please join Stars Of Texas Homeschoolers, dressed in costume, for a party at the Round Rock Public LibraryWe’ll provide games, crafts, dancing, costume contest and a scavenger hunt. Please bring a dish to share.  

This free, fun activity is part of a monthly series of programs made available through a partnership with Stars Of Texas Homeschoolers. Look for more fun at Round Rock Public Library on the third Monday of every month.

We’ll gather from 12:30 – 2:00 pm in Meeting Room B.

Reading Adds Up

You bet!

Explore how with Reading Adds Up, an event featuring come-and-go stations that welcome kids, parents, educators, and childcare providers.

Students from Texas State University Round Rock’s Teacher Education program host a fun-filled afternoon of math and literacy. These future teachers will read a variety of children’s stories and then work with kids in small groups on math problems related to the story.

We will have individual stations targeting developmentally appropriate goals for learners ages 4-11.

Come when you can, stay as long as you like. This free event is in the Library’s Room B.

Star Wars Storytime

We’ll geek out with kid-friendly Star Wars books, songs, and rhymes. Costumes are welcome.

Families with children of all ages are welcome, but children ages 18 months – 6 years old will enjoy it best.

Join us  at 11 a.m. in Room A. The fun will continue with activities in both rooms until 1:30 p.m.

Star Wars Reads Day

Star Wars Reads logo featuring the droid BB-8 reading a book, plus the words Star Wars Reads, Roll Into ReadingRound Rock Public Library hosts a celebration of Star Wars, reading, and fandom with Star Wars Reads Day, 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21.

Enjoy a special Star Wars themed storytime, light saber lessons, come-and-go activities, and possibly some extra special guests!

Here’s the schedule:

  • 11 a.m.: Star Wars Family Storytime in Room A (best for ages 18 months – 6 years)
  • 11:30 a.m. – noon: Light Saber Lessons in Room B (all ages may enjoy watching; ages 6 and up may participate)
  • Noon – 1 p.m.: Come and go activities in Room A
  • 1 – 1:30 p.m.: Light Saber Lessons in Room B (all ages may enjoy watching; ages 6 and up may participate)

We’re excited to welcome our friends from Lone Star Saber Academy to present the two identical light saber lesson sessions. 

Homeschool Art Expo

Kick off fall homeschool library days by bringing your favorite art piece(s) to show off at our homeschool art exposition!  

Show your painting, sculpture, culinary dish, dance performance or any piece of art you’d like to share. All ages are welcome to participate.

We’ll gather from 12:30 – 2:00 pm in Meeting Room B.
