Chinese Bilingual Storytime

The Round Rock Public Library presents Chinese Bilingual Storytime the first Tuesday of each month, at 10:30 a.m. in Room B.

This program, developed for ages 3 and up, celebrates Chinese culture with stories, fingerplays, songs, and other activities in both English and Mandarin.


This is the regular monthly rotation of Bilingual programs:

  • 1st Tuesday: Chinese (ages 3-6)
  • 2nd Tuesday: Spanish (ages 3-6)
  • 3rd Tuesday: American Sign Language (ages 1-6)
  • 4th Tuesday: Hindi (ages 3-6)
  • 5th Tuesday: Spanish (ages 3-6)

Evening Storytime

Snuggle up at this pajama-friendly storytime

The Round Rock Public Library presents Preschool Storytime at 6:30 p.m. in Room A.

Guests to this pajama-friendly reading activity will enjoy a fun combination of books, fingerplays, songs, and creative movement for preschool children ages 3 to 6.

Our regular Preschool Storytime schedule is:

  • Mondays, 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m.
  • Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Pre-registration is not required unless you are bringing a group of six or more children.

Family Storytime

The Round Rock Public Library presents Family Storytime.

This weekly, interactive program includes a variety of activities. Every week enjoy books and fingerplays. Many weeks you’ll find a little extra sparkle, with fun additions such as puppets, creative movement, play activities, or sometimes even a short film.

Families with children of all ages are welcome, but children ages 18 months – 6 years old will enjoy it best.

Join us  at 11 a.m. on Saturdays in Room A.

Round Rock Area Pokemon Club

Pokemon players, make new friends and share your love of Pokemon Saturday mornings at the Round Rock Public Library.

The Round Rock Area Pokemon Club welcomes kids to drop by for free, casual play in the Library’s Meeting Room A, 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Fans can play and trade Pokemon cards and battle on their Nintento DS devices, or just talk Pokemon. Parents are welcome to relax and chat while their kids are engaged.

This interactive program supports pre-reading skills to build a strong foundation for learning–and the joys of learning–among pre-readers.

Before and after the program, families are invited to explore a play area together. The play area features rotating activities, which might include finger-friendly items, art materials, construction materials, and/or science-friendly materials.

Our regular Toddlertime schedule is:

  • Wednesdays, 9:30 a.m. in Room A
  • Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m. in Room A
  • Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. in Room B
  • Fridays, 10:30 a.m. in Room A

You do not need to pre-register to attend Toddlertime unless you are bringing six or more children.

Rockin’ Kids Club: Game On!

Rockin' Kids GamesIt’s games week at the Round Rock Public Library.  Elementary students, come laugh, play, build friendships, and build mathematical thinking with the library’s big set of games.

The Library hosts STEAM activities for elementary students Monday afternoons at 4:30 p.m. The regular rotation of activities is:

  • 1st Monday: LEGO® Free-Build
  • 2nd Monday: Art Club
  • 3rd Monday: Science Club
  • 4th Monday: Game On!
