Every library employee that works with the public long enough will experience a patron question fraught with social pitfalls and unexpected angsty reactions, “Do you have a book to recommend?”

This follows a decision last year to remove the CD format of audiobooks when we moved to our new building in January 2023.

In many cities, libraries have long provided community locations and resources that are intentionally arranged and developed to suit the needs and expectations of everyone in that area.

With my Round Rock Public Library card, I have access to audiobooks through Playaway, Libby, and Hoopla, and, believe me, I utilize all of them! Audiobooks are perfect for multi-tasking.

November is a time for reflection and gratitude. I am thankful for our new library space, our growing collections of books and materials, our professional, helpful staff members, and our Friends!
