County Road 112 West from A.W. Grimes to CR 117

This project is to reconstruct the existing two-lane CR to a six-lane divided and added pedestrian facilities along with curb and gutter and drainage from A.W. Grimes to CR 117.

The City of Round Rock conducted a public meeting regarding the proposed roadway improvements of CR 112 from AW Grimes Blvd to CR 110 in Round Rock, Texas on Tuesday October 26, 2021.
The purpose of the meeting was to present information and solicit public comment on the proposed reconstruction and widening of the roadway. Round Rock staff and their consultants were available at the meeting to discuss the proposed project.

Project update: August 2025

The Notice to Proceed for the CR-112 West was issued for a start date of January 27, 2025.  The progress has been pretty good even considering the wet late spring and early summer that we had.  The new gas line was installed in July, and the old ones have been removed from the proposed roadway footprint.  Subgrade cut and the proper material has been continuing to be processed and placed with a geogrid for stability due to the poor soil conditions that are present in the area.  Last week the curb and gutter installation was started and continues.  The waterline has also been installed.  Paving is a few months away.  The work continues.
