This project will extend Kenney Fort Boulevard as a 6-lane divided urban arterial with curb and gutter, storm sewer, signals, and illumination from the current terminus at Old Settlers Blvd towards the north to University Blvd and remove the section of CR 117 from CR 112 to north of Linda Herrington Elementary School.

The total length of the Kenney Fort Blvd. extension is approximately 2.7 miles.

60% Design is being reviewed, and utilities are being relocated to facilitate construction. Pursuit of right of way is ongoing, and 90% plans are being developed.

Open house

The City hosted an open house to share preliminary design plans with the community on Tuesday, Sept. 10 and an accompanying virtual open house to solicit public feedback from Aug. 23-Sept. 17.
