No one injured in garage fire in South Creek home

The Round Rock Fire Department was dispatched at 2:06 a.m. Friday, June 6, to a reported structure fire at a home at 2115 Jasmine Path in the South Creek neighborhood.

Round Rock Police officers were first on the scene and advised there was heavy black smoke showing, but everyone had evacuated the residence. There were no reported injuries, and firefighters were able to extinguish a fire in the garage in a matter of minutes.

The cause of the fire was determined to be a dryer located in the garage; damage estimates are undetermined at this time, but the residence sustained smoke damage with moderate fire damage to the garage area.
