Police seek assistance in attempted child abduction

At about 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, an 11-year-old child was riding his bike in the 1500 block of Greenlawn Boulevard from a nearby convenience store when he was approached by several people in a dark blue, four-door sedan. The driver told the child to get in the car. When the boy refused, the driver displayed a knife and repeated his instruction. The boy dropped his bicycle and ran home. No further contact was made by the occupants of the car.

The car was occupied by four people but only the driver had contact with the child. The driver is described as a Hispanic male between 17 and 19 years of age with a shaved head. During the incident, the driver was wearing a white tank top. The front-seat passenger is described as a black male between 17 and 19 years old and having a silver front tooth.

If you have any information about this incident, please contact Sgt. Darin Bayles of the Round Rock Police Department at 512-801-4584.
