PHOTO GALLERY + VIDEO: Flags honoring lives lost on 9/11 on display in Round Rock

Thousands of American flags are currently on display in Round Rock’s Old Settlers Park as the U.S. marks the 24th anniversary of the terror attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

The nonprofit Texas Fallen Project has placed 4,000 flags at Yonders Point Flag Plaza, located at 3103 Aten Loop on the north side of Old Settler Park, in honor of Americans who died during the 9/11 tragedies, as well as fallen military veterans from Texas lost since 9/11.

The flags will be on display for public viewing through 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12.

The Texas Fallen Project previously created a memorial wall that was displayed in towns across Texas, also in honor of lives lost on 9/11 and in combat since then.
