Round Rock Public Library (RRPL) has been selected as a recipient of a 2026 Summer at the Library Grant from the Texas Library Association (TLA), helping support engaging summer learning opportunities for the community.

Funded through H-E-B’s annual Summer at the Library check-stand campaign, the grant program awarded $326,350 to 104 libraries across Texas this year. Round Rock Public Library received an award in the amount of $1,500. The funding is designed to help libraries expand summer reading initiatives, create innovative programs and events, strengthen community outreach, and provide greater access to educational resources.

The Round Rock Public Library will use the grant to enhance its summer ‘Library on the Go’ program.  Popular titles and STEM kits will be added for checkout at ‘Library on the Go’ events.  There will also be free STEM-themed take-and-make kits.

We are grateful to the Texas Library Association, H-E-B, and the many Texans whose donations make this program possible,” said Library Director Michelle Cervantes. “This support helps us continue providing high-quality summer experiences that inspire lifelong learning and strengthen our community.

The Summer at the Library Grant program supports public, school, academic, and special libraries across Texas. The program aims to foster literacy and learning during the summer months, when students and families seek enriching educational opportunities.
