Stagecoach Inn Relocation Celebration

  • October 9, 2018

The public is invited to kick off the restoration phase of the Stagecoach Inn project at a celebration of the building’s recent successful location to Chisholm Trail.

The celebration will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, starting on the back patio of the Williamson Museum on the Chisholm Trail (8 Chisholm Trail Road), then moving to the Stagecoach Inn’s new site for photos. The event will also include a brief documentary video created by the City of Round Rock about the move.

The Stagecoach Inn was moved over the weekend of April 27-29 to its new perch on Brushy Creek along Chisholm Trail. Since 1848, it sat at what is now 901 RM 620, a location that sits in the path of the realignment of RM 620. Non-profit Round Rock Preservation is now working to restore the building using private donations.

Alternate location in case of rain:
In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at the Administrative Training Room at 901 Round Rock Avenue (west building).

  • July 27, 2018

The City of Round Rock has begun the process to consider assessing roadway impact fees as another mechanism for funding the roadway infrastructure improvements necessitated by new development. Kimley-Horn & Associates is under contract with the CORR to evaluate the development and implementation of a potential RIF in accordance with state law. An open house for the public is planned to solicit input from residents.
