The City of Round Rock’s water meets or exceeds all state and federal guidelines for safe drinking water, according to a recent report for the 2018 calendar year.  

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency  (EPA) requires all drinking water suppliers to provide an annual water quality report called a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), which provides customers with water quality information from the previous calendar year. The report, which was released July 1, shows levels for all contaminants requiring testing by the federal agency. No violations were found.  

Residents are advised that some companies promote testing or filtration services at this time of year through sensationalized social media advertising and door-to-door solicitation.  

According to the EPA, drinking water — including bottled water — may reasonably be expected to contain at least small amounts of some contaminants. The presence of contaminants does not necessarily indicate that water poses a health risk.
