Downtown roundabout sign to be temporarily removed for repairs

Repairs for the Downtown roundabout sign will require intermittent lane closures July 15-16.

The lane closures will allow the City’s contractor to remove the sign via crane to make necessary repairs at an area manufacturer. The sign, damaged in two car wrecks last year, will be repaired and reinstalled in approximately one month.

Drivers approaching Downtown from IH-35 will not encounter any closures through the roundabout. However, drivers approaching the roundabout from West Main Street can avoid closures and delays by continuing west to Brown Street, turning right, and turning left onto Round Rock Avenue to access IH-35.
