Two City Councilmembers were sworn in for new terms at the May 23 Council meeting.
Place 2 Councilmember Rene Flores and Place 6 Councilmember Hilda Montgomery took the oath of office after being re-elected in May. Both were sworn in by Williamson County Commissioner Terry Cook.
“We are all so fortunate to live in this community that is such a special place; our challenge is to plan for future growth as well as preserve and protect the special traits that make Round Rock our home,” Flores said. “I am proud to serve with all my fellow Council Members and Mayor on this dais.”
“The last year and a half has been the greatest privilege and honor I’ve experienced in my time here in Round Rock,” Montgomery said. “I promise to do the best of my ability to honor the privilege you have given me to work in this position, to work as hard and diligently as I can so that Round Rock stays the place we love and call home.”
