Historic tax exemption applications due April 30

The historic tax exemption program exempts 75% of the city property taxes for designated historic properties that meet specific maintenance criteria. Applications for the 2024 historic tax exemption are due at the Williamson County Appraisal District (WCAD) by April 30, 2024. Since applications are processed as they are received, it is advantageous to apply earlier in the application period rather than later.

The application form 50-122: Application for Historic or Archaeological Site Property Tax Exemption may be downloaded may be downloaded from the WCAD Forms page (under “exemption applications”). If you need clarification about any of the form fields refer to the Form 50-122 instructions. Applications may be submitted by mail or through WCAD’s online Exemption Contact page.

Additional information about the program is posted on the historic tax exemption page.  If you have additional questions or concerns contact Kerstin Harding at kharding@roundrocktexas.gov or 512-218-5421.
