Letter from the Library Director: Michelle Cervantes

Community is at the core of who we are as a library, and this holiday season I encourage each of you to be kind to each other and be the light where you can. We’re putting the finishing touches on an incredibly productive year — one that saw many successes and moved our beloved library forward. This season, we celebrate record-breaking numbers with 1,171,561 check-outs, increased digital resources, new community partnerships, new programs for all ages designed to open additional opportunities for all, and the closeout of the building project on Liberty Avenue, which is set to officially open in January 2023.

There’s much to be cheerful about this season. But most of all, I’m cheering for each of you — our valued members of the library community. Your incredible talents and continued support of the library is what helps us push further and achieve even greater success each year so that we can help our members reach their potential.

Because we serve the greater good our library thrives. I wish you a wonderfully cheerful holiday season as we head into 2023!
