New fee for utility bill non-payment starts January 2018

The City of Round Rock provides residential water, wastewater, drainage and utility rates that continue to be among the lowest in the region. To help reflect the cost of services and as an incentive for on-time payments, the City has adopted a $25 fee for utility customers who don’t pay by the cutoff date, effective January 2018.

Customers receive cutoff notices 5 to 7 days after the due date. Customers will receive a reminder call and/or email, depending what is on file, prior to the disconnect date.

$25 fee is applicable even if service isn’t disconnected. The next day reconnect fee remains $50.
