New Lakeview Pavilion & Stage launches in Round Rock with concert, ribbon-cutting

The City of Round Rock hosted Lakeview Kickoff: A Stone in the Park on Saturday, Nov. 15, featuring acclaimed musical artist Allen Stone on the new Lakeview Stage at Old Settlers Park, 3300 E. Palm Valley Blvd.

The celebration marked the official opening of the City of Round Rock’s new outdoor Lakeview Pavilion & Stage and began with a high-energy set from DJ Hella Yella, who opened the show before Stone’s headlining performance. Through remarks from City leaders and the evening’s program, the audience was taken on a brief journey from Round Rock’s past to its present growth and the legacy the new venue will offer future generations.

The program included a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Craig Morgan and members of the Round Rock City Council. The evening concluded with a massive fireworks finale over the lake.

The new Lakeview Stage and open-air pavilion are designed to serve as a central gathering place for concerts, cultural events and community celebrations. The two-story Lakeview Pavilion nearly triples the size of the former structure, which remains in place. To better accommodate both everyday park visitors and major events, the project also delivers larger, modern restroom facilities.

In addition, construction is planned on a new Joanne Land Playground, further enhancing the amenities at Old Settlers Park. The City of Round Rock looks forward to welcoming residents and visitors to future events as the Lakeview Stage begins its role as a premier destination for live entertainment and community gatherings.
